Rocket Fuel was established in 2000 by Mick Davenport as a burger sauce to be sold through his gourmet burger restaurant chain Burger Wisconsin.

It became an immediate success so was given an identity and developed into retail packaging. In 2003 we started selling two-litre bottles through food service outlets including Moore Wilson, Trents and Gilmores, then soon after we started supplying directly to New World and PaknSave stores. Increased demand led to the decision to build a custom-designed cooking and bottling line based in Petone, Wellington.

In 2023 we made an investment into refreshing the Rocket Fuel brand. We listened to our customers, analysed the market and looked to the future.

Then we produced new squeezy bottles that are recyclable, and made here in NZ!
